Abstract
Supports accommodation operators in Gozo to promote the island as a holiday destination through digital marketing through a reimbursement of up to 65% of the eligible expenditure, capped at €8,000. Eligible operators must invest a minimum of €5,500 including the grant and the content marketing plan developed should cover between 6 to 12 months.
Description
The objective of the scheme is to support accommodation operators in Gozo in the promotion of the Island as a holiday destination through digital marketing. The Ministry for Gozo and Planning remains committed to incentivise the accommodation sector in investing in continuous and intensive professional digital marketing for the attraction of sustainable high-quality tourism and the overall promotion of the VisitGozo brand.
The scheme supports domestic and international digital marketing initiatives by accommodation providers in Gozo. It is essential that the supported initiatives are ones that have been duly researched and decided upon, taking into consideration valuable return on investment and target audiences.
Beneficiaries
Beneficiaries under this scheme represent accommodation operators which are duly licensed as accommodation providers. The accommodation property in question must be located in Gozo and registered with the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA).
Support Rates
The Ministry for Gozo and Planning will cover up to 65% of the eligible expenditure for undertaking a digital marketing campaign, up to a maximum of €8,000. Eligible operators must invest a minimum of €5,500 including the grant and the content marketing plan should cover between 6 to 12 months and should be developed by a professional digital marketing agency/manager.
50% of the approved grant is provided as the marketing plan reaches its mid-timeline, with the remaining 50% being granted as the plan reaches its conclusion. On conclusion of the marketing campaign a copy of the analytical results is to be provided.
